Q: If I lose my wallet card, what can I do if I am concerned that someone may access my medical file?

A:Simply access your personal medical record through Med911 and change your User ID. You must, of course, verify your identity before you can change your User ID. This will be done by answering the question you included to which only you know the answer.

    Q: Will my Med911 personal medical information be available to commercial companies?

A: Absolutely not. Your file is completely confidential and your medical history and identity will not be available to any commercial company, insurance company, governmental agency, or any other organization.

    Q: If I am treated in a hospital and they have my password, can they use it in the future to access my record or give it to my insurance company, employer, etc.?

A: If you are concerned about hospitals, insurance companies, employers, or any institution accessing your records in the future and change your password. This will make access to your records by outsiders using your "old code" impossible.

    Q: May I add family members to my record?

A: Yes, you may add family members to your account. Simply, click on "Add Family Member" on the history form.

    Q: What other benefits do I receive as a member of Med911?

A: Currently you may access many links we have established to other medically relevant sites. These sites will include many associations providing information on specific diseases, answers to questions asked by patients, specific prescription product information, disease descriptions, etc. Future benefits for members are being planned and will be posted to Med911 as they become fully developed.
